Rapscallion Drama Group presents
The Mean Streets of Garradrimna
by Frank Shouldice

This play is an immensely clever adaptation of Brinsley MacNamara’s The Valley of The Squinting Windows, the book that electrified Delvin, Co. Westmeath in 1918 with its savage portrait of small-town malevolence and gossip. Frank Shouldice manipulates the story in such a way as to humanise the characters without detracting from their essential qualities. The play is also very funny, and extremely well-paced. A perfect and intelligent centenary transformation of an important Irish novel.
After sell out performances in Delvin, Rapscallion Drama Group are delighted to be back on stage again for a one night only performance of The Mean Streets of Garradrimna in Tuar Ard.
