We are thrilled to welcome renowned flute and whistle player Enda Seery from Streamstown, Co. Westmeath to Tuar Ard for the  release his eagerly awaited third solo album Raining Notes. The album features a mix of his own original compositions as well as other tunes from his traditional Irish repertoire. Enda will be joined on the night by John Byrne (guitar and banjo) and Aidan Guilfoyle (double bass) for his home county launch.

Next up is Fred Cooke, fresh from working on the Tommy Tiernan Show (RTE), who will deliver his unique brand of comedy through his musical prowess and wild, crafted story-telling.

From the creative minds behind Ernest & Celestine, Song Of The Sea and The Secret Of Kells, this stunningly beautiful animation is set in late 19th century Saint Petersburg. Sacha, a young girl from the Russian aristocracy, dreams of the Great North and anguishes over the fate of her grandfather, Oloukine, a renowned scientist and Arctic explorer who has yet to return from his latest expedition to conquer the North Pole. Sacha has always been fascinated by the adventurous life of her grandfather and has the same calling as Oloukine to be an explorer. But Sacha’s parents, who already made arrangements for her marriage, strongly disapprove of the idea to say the least. Defying her destiny, Sacha flees her home and launches an adventure-filled quest toward the Great North in search of Oloukine and his ship.
